A Gastronomic Paradise
Edinburgh’s culinary landscape is a true delight for food lovers. We had the pleasure of experiencing a range of dining establishments that left our taste buds tingling with satisfaction. For a lavish breakfast or a splendid afternoon tea, The Dome proved to be an excellent choice, offering both elegance and delectable cuisine. No35 at The Bonham surpassed our expectations with their exquisite afternoon tea and dinner options, while Cadiz tantalized our palates with their flavorsome dinner offerings. For a taste of authentic tapas, Café Andaluz stole our hearts, and The Bearded Baker became our go-to destination for delightful treats. Although we missed out on The Lookout, a highly recommended spot on Calton Hill, we’re already looking forward to trying it on our next visit.
Sipping in Style
Edinburgh boasts a vibrant nightlife, with an abundance of charming establishments where you can unwind and enjoy a refreshing drink. Dirty Dicks, The Voodoo Rooms, The Dome, Panda & Sons, and Hoot the Redeemer are just a few of the remarkable venues that promise an unforgettable evening. Our exploration of Edinburgh took us to some of the city’s most iconic landmarks and hidden gems. Edinburgh Castle, perched majestically on Castle Rock, offered a glimpse into the city’s rich history and provided breathtaking panoramic views. Calton Hill’s picturesque surroundings and Dean Village’s charming architecture were a photographer’s dream come true. The Real Mary King’s Close takes you on an immersive journey through the city’s underground streets, revealing intriguing tales of the past. Exploring Grassmarket and Haymarket in Old Town exposed us to the vibrant atmosphere and the abundance of local shops, cafes, and restaurants. To make the most of our limited time, we embarked on a City Sightseeing Tour, departing from Andrew’s Square. This provided a fascinating overview of Edinburgh’s history, architecture, and notable landmarks. The flexibility to hop on and off allowed us to explore at our own pace.
A Haven of Hospitality
Accommodation plays a crucial role in any getaway, and our stay at The Bonham Hotel exceeded our expectations. This beautiful boutique hotel, nestled in a central location, offered the perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and convenience. The hotel’s bar and restaurant provided delightful experiences, and our room exuded elegance – it really was wonderful. We highly recommend The Bonham Hotel for an exceptional stay in Edinburgh.
